The seat of the Imperial Governor was once a striking sprawl of buildings twenty leagues across. Its majestic architecture, wide boulevards and impressive statuary attested to the wealth of the Reikholm system.
After an orbital bombardment in the first days of the war and a subsequent week of fighting, the city is now a shattered ruin. While the Governor and most of her civil servants are now dead, possession of the palace is still seen as an important symbol for both of the warring sides.
